I wanted a classic, refined suit - the sort of thing Bond might wear while sipping whisky at a Scottish highlands castle - and I came up with this Glenco Plaid Suit.

It features a medium-weight Super 100s, 360 g/m 100% wool in a plaid pattern: soft grey/brown plaid fabric interwoven with fine lines of beige and subtle red.

The pattern hails from the Glenurquhart estate in Inverness-shire, Scotland, and has a storied history dating back to the 19th century. Initially worn by Scottish gamekeepers and estate workers, it became the go-to style for British royalty and nobility in the early 20th century, embodying refined British elegance.

To give the suit a commanding presence, I added roped shoulders. Keeping in line with the traditional British style, I also included a ticket pocket, and double vents.

Inside, you'll find a vintage, nautically themed lining featuring sepia-toned illustrations of old-fashioned sailing ships and compasses reminiscent of antique maritime maps.

The trousers are designed with double pleats, chrome side-adjustable buckles and include a small flapped coin pocket.

As this is a special edition, I included custom sleeve vents. These are hidden from daily view and only visible when the sleeve buttons are undone. One features the Scottish flag, the other the Hungarian flag—a nod to my company's heritage.

This detail is not only decorative but also functional. It enhances the structural integrity and stability of the suit sleeve, ensuring it remains flat and neat.
